"Creating Wonder," the first exhibition presented by The Open-air People's Art Museum (OPAM), is an awe-inspiring prelude to a series of captivating open-air art installations set to adorn the vibrant community of Old Town Chinatown. This event is dedicated to showcasing art that inspires a sense of awe and wonder in the viewer. Prepare to be mesmerized by the creative brilliance of 10 Portland artists, whose masterpieces have given birth to 22 captivating art pieces.

Kimberly Marie Kimble
Kimberly is an internationally published, award-winning photographer based in Portland, OR. They have been recognized for their maternity, birth, newborn, and family photography, as well as their documentary protest work. Publications that have featured Kimberly’s work include National Geographic, HuffPost, BuzzFeed, and several books/magazines. Handed a camera at a young age, they developed their photographic eye through quick, honest documentation of the people, places, and things Kimberly encountered.
Victoria Rind
Smells are the keys to our personal time machines. They can be very personal or they can be very communal, eliciting the same memory in many people. They unlock the doors to our collective past, giving us access to moments we thought were forever lost.
Sam Conklin
Born and based in Portland, Oregon, Sam Conklin is a multidisciplinary artist fascinated by the intersection of science, engineering, and art.
James Stugart
James Stugart’s work leans towards surrealism, using identifiable subjects in an abstract setting. His inspiration derives from psychology, spirituality, and duality. His work displays the complex realities of inward perception to outward projection. He feels that understanding the cycles of life can help bring a more balanced flow in living.
Matt Kleinman
In baseball, an especially massive home run is referred to as a Moonshot - a hit so big, the ball leaves the park, the atmosphere, and lands on the moon.
In 2022 NASA set course for space on Lunar Mission XXIII in an effort to reclaim the balls from Major League Baseball's most famous home runs.

Yaara Valey
Yaara Valey is a multidisciplinary artist, performer, vocalist, and musician of Jewish Latinx heritage based in Portland. In her music, she utilizes looping technology to create luscious vocally based live transmissions.
Clifton Holznagel
Clifton is a multimedia artist rooted in theatre, performance and projection art. His work juxtaposes the natural and fantastical, blurring the line between the observer and the observed.
Matteo Padovani
Matteo Padovani is a multi-disciplinary artist from Portland, Oregon that explores the concept of connectivity in his art. He uses figuration and abstraction with multiple mediums to try and unpack and make visible/tangible the invisible realm of connectivity between objects, people, and places.
Monika Kralicek
Monika Kralicek is an independent, self-taught artist based in Portland, Oregon. Working in acrylics, she paints highly textured landscapes and expressive abstracts inspired by moments spent outdoors. Her work employs subdued colors and layered detail in an impressionistic and emotive manner.
Braeden Cox
Braeden Cox (she/her) is an artist working and living in Portland, Oregon. Born in Eugene, Oregon she has also lived in Christchurch, New Zealand and Knoxville, Tennessee. She studied at the University of Oregon in Eugene where she earned a dual major in Fine Art and Digital Art. Braeden went on to complete her BFA degree in Digital Art at the University of Oregon’s Portland campus.
